What should my first step be if I am worried about my child’s development?

You should speak with your pediatrician about your concerns. You can also reach out to your county for more information on Early Intervention (EI) services (birth to 3) or CPSE (Committee on Preschool Special Education) services (3-5).

What services does Mini Milestones offer?

-Pediatric Occupational Therapy evaluations and therapy sessions
(Pediatric refers to any clients under the age of 21)

-Pediatric Feeding Evaluations and therapy sessions

– Community skill enrichment groups to promote development through skilled play experiences

More services and group options will be offered periodically

My child already receives OT. Can we add more?

Absolutely. You can supplement your current OT services with additional services privately. Additionally, if your child did not qualify for services through EI or CPSE services but you would like to begin self-pay sessions, you may do so here with us at Mini Milestones.

Does Mini Milestones accept insurance?

OT services are covered by select insurance plans; however, we do not bill private insurance directly. We provide a super bill with appropriate billing codes for you to submit to your insurance. Occupational Therapy may also be covered under additional options that are not commonly advertised or well known. Speak to your insurance carrier about flexible spending accounts (FSAs), health savings accounts (HSAs), and network gap exceptions. A network gap exception may also be referred to as a single case agreement (SCA) or Network Deficiency Coverage.
